JR-West KANSAI-HOKURIKU Rail Pass - 7Day/Adult

Get unlimited rides on the Sanyo Shinkansen (incl. NOZOMI and MIZUHO, between Shin-Osaka and Okayama), the Hokuriku Shinkansen( between Kanazawa and Joetsumyoko )Limited Express and local trains (incl.Rapid services) in the area with non-reserved seats, West JR Bus in the area.           

Valid trains of Kansai-Hokuriku Area Pass are listed below

• Reserved seats on Bullet Train "SANYO SHINKANSEN" (Shin-Osaka⇔Okayama)           
• The pass can be used for the Hello Kitty Shinkansen.          
• Reserved seats on Bullet Train "HOKURIKU SHINKANSEN" (Kanazawa⇔Joetsu-Myoko)           
• Reserved seats on Express Trains (HARUKA, THUNDERBIRD, KUROSHIO, KOUNOTORI, SUPER HAKUTO (Kyoto⇔Kamigori), etc.)           
• A separate fare is required for traveling on SUPER HAKUTO (Kamigori⇔Tottori) and SUPER INABA (Kamigori⇔Tottori)          
• Reserved seats can be used up to 6 times.           
• Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST Conventional lines           
• The pass is only valid on WEST JAPAN JR BUS route buses within the valid area. The pass cannot be used on expressway buses.           

These trains below cannot be used           

• Bullet Train "HOKURIKU SHINKANSEN" (Joetsu-Myoko⇔Tokyo)           
• Bullet Train "TOKAIDO SHINKANSEN" (Shin-Osaka⇔Tokyo)           
• Bullet Train "SANYO SHINKANSEN" (Okayama⇔Hakata)           
• Not valid for the IR Ishikawa Railway or the Ainokaze Toyama Railway.           

* As a special exception, the pass can be used for the Himi, Johana, or Nanao lines only if the pass-holder does not alight from the IR Ishikawa Railway (Kanazawa⇔Tsubata) or the Ainokaze Toyama Railway (Takaoka⇔Toyama).           
Limited express trains can be used on the IR Ishikawa Railway (Kanazawa⇔Tsubata).If using the Ainokaze Liner rapid service on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway, a separate "liner fare" is required. 

Availability and Use

• After you complete a reservation, a confirmation email will be sent to you within 3 business days. At the same time, we will ask you for the usage start date of your JR Pass.
• We will not be able to issue a voucher unless the date of use is confirmed, so please inform us the usage start date you prefer, which has to be within 3 months from the date you purchase.
• We will then send your JR Pass voucher by email.
• You can activate your JR Pass Voucher at a ticket vending machine with a passport reader in JR-West stations.
• What to Bring

  • Passport with an IC chip. *2
• A rail pass is available and usable all year around.
• A rail pass is purchasable up to one month in advance of the first day of use.
• A rail pass is valid for consecutive days.
• The validity of a rail pass starts at 12 a.m.

*2 If your passport has no IC chip in it, please go to a JR-West Ticket Office to exchange your Voucher.

Rules & Restrictions

• The starting date of the rail pass and the duration cannot be changed after purchase.
• A rail pass is only valid for its rail pass holder only.
• A passport must be carried when a rail pass is used and presented when a JR staff asks to.
• A rail pass will be void if the magnetic ticket is detached from a rail passbook.
• A rail pass will not be reissued even if lost or stolen.
• Children under the age of 6 do not require a pass unless you wish to reserve seats.
